DAY 6: PORTLAND, OREGON
SUNDAY, JUNE 22
ABOUT DAY 6
On day 6, we left the coast and drove to Portland. This was quite a little adventure. We are enjoying the drive and get get about an hour outside of Portland and pull in to a coffee shop to get coffee. Lorna was driving and said we needed some gas. While there, a low tire alert popped up on the odometer screen. (This is a new experience for me. I drive a 2003 Honda Odyssey. I don't have luxuries like these. You just have to feel the pull or see a low tire to know it is low.) So, we pulled into a gas station and saw the tire was almost flat. As Lorna was putting air in the tire, it sounded like it was leaking out as fast as she was putting it in. We were right. There was a hole in the tire. We called Avis and they, of course, gave us the run around, so we called our insurance company and they sent someone right out. The flat tire caused us to have to cancel our Portland Underground Tour. At least the company was nice enough to reimburse us with such late notice.

FROM THE COAST TO PORTLAND
Below are a few pictures of our adventures from the Coast to Portland. One thing we saw that we found funny was the Toledo Sign. My family always makes fun of me for saying, "Holy Toledo!" Well, I finally got to pass through the holy city of Toledo!
