HANNAH'S 16th BIRTHDAY
For Hannah's Sweet 16th Birthday, we were going to take her to Japan. Hannah loves everything Japanese from the food, to the beautiful lit, clean cities, to the animation. When Covid struck, our plans to visit Japan were put on hold, leaving us with - How do you celebrate a big birthday like "16" during the middle of a Pandemic?
When we broke the news to Hannah, we were really expecting tears and disappointment, but instead she said, "I thought this might happen. It's ok. There's nothing than can be done." We asked her what she wanted and she said, "I just want to go out to a sushi dinner with my closest friends, maybe go to Atrox if it is open, and come back and hang out together."
So, that is what we did. We were going to surprise her with a limousine pick up, but our limousine service called us an hour before and said that the 10 seater limo had broken down. We scrambled to find another service. The best we could do was rent one for after we ate to go to Atrox. She was shocked when we walked out of the restaurant and told her to get in the limo.
Hannah has a great group of friends. These kids are smart, well-mannered, and all have good hearts. You feel lucky when your kid has a group of friends who care about her.
